The case that Rosa had picked up a few weeks ago had been demanding a lot of her time, especially since it had her traveling to some pretty interesting places. It was actually exactly the kind of case she was hoping she'd get a chance to sink her teeth into, nice and vague requiring a lot of groundwork and, better yet, actually in her universe, which meant leaning in on a little help from the Nine-Nine. There was still a little bit more work to do before she could really start putting things together, but she figured she'd already missed out on two Tuesday nights at Caritas, it probably wouldn't hurt to pop in tonight just to touch base before getting back to work.
Only, apparently, there was one glaring issue with that plan.
"Well," said Rosa, succinctly, when a third effort to get in touch with Portalocity failed, "shit."
There were worse places to be than her old precinct haunt on a Tuesday night, she supposed, but portals not working on the week after the end of a semester meant there was probably something weird and stupid going on. Which meant she wasn't even sure if the three people she'd care enough about to send a message to (Portals are down. Everything okay over there?) would even get the texts, but she sent them off, anyway, and then went to meet everyone at Shaw's like the good old times or some bullshit like that.
She tried not to worry, too, but she knew everyone she'd be worried about would be fine, so she was just going to take a moment to toast to her good timing because whatever it was that was going on and blocking portals? Was probably incredibly dumb and she was better off not having to deal with it in the first place.
[[ mostly establishy, to cover what Rosa's been up to lately that I've been waaaaay too lazy/stressed out to write, but also definitely open for calls and texts (assuming they can get through even if portals can't? IDK.) if you'd like! ]]
