77 Godiva Street; Friday Morning [06/17].
Jun. 17th, 2022 07:12 amRosa was on her way downstairs to the office to get some more work done, but while in the process of making her coffee and getting some breakfast, something else happened that was far more interesting.
So there she was, leaning comfortably against the kitchen counter with her coffee, watching her adorable idiot dog getting stymied by a lazy susan in a cabinet. And she was probably going to be there for most of the morning now, too.
This week was seriously starting to seriously make it up there as a contender for the best week ever.
[[ like this could enter my life and I wouldn't want to immediately do something with it. Open! Though with probably flakiness involved ]]
[[ also i know what day it is, shush ]]

So Rosa's day had, inexplicably, seemed to have started with her riding her motorcylce up the causeway on her way back to Fandom. Considering that she was pretty sure her day yesterday had ended with her in bed in her apartment, that was a bit...odd. And there was that island, and there was the marshmallow snow, and then, when she felt like she was pretty much just tracing her steps to get back to the apartment, there was...
The giant pink stuffed dog. Right there in the living room where she'd found it yesterday, and she'd have maybe thought Miguel had just moved it back, but it was easy to see that the large rip she'd cut into it wasn't there, either.
"What the fuck."
Well, if her suspicions were correct and the day was somehow on repeat of the day before, at least that hopefully meant it would be the same for Tightpants, and he'd arrive at any second to give her coffee...
[[ and open, especially if you have a)tightpants and b) coffee ]]

So, after all that time, the whole case wound up being a bust, because the guy had actually turned himself in and the entire thing was called off...right when Rosa had managed to get a spot on the choir, too! She was honestly super pissed about it, she had been looking forward to that, but she supposed the silver lining was that she could finally get out of that convent and back to Fandom, which....okay, she would have totally rocked it in that choir, but it was good to at least not have to wear a funny hat all day.
Of course, she'd noticed the compound on an island off the warehouse distract pretty much from the causeway, as she rode her bike across it and started to already wonder what the hell had been going on while she was away. But that wasn't nearly as disturbing or upsetting to her as what awaited her once she made it back to the apartment.
Because a giant stuffed pink dog that looked like some kind of carninval prize sitting in your living room was the last thing you wanted to come home to after spending almost a month with a bunch of nuns.
Or pretty much under any circumstances, really.
So Rosa, dropping her helmet and her suitcase, just took a moment to stare the thing down as if challenging it, daring it to do anything stupid and Fandom-esque, and, once she realized that it really was just a large stuffed very pink dog...
She reached down to pull out a knife, flicked it open, and headed straight for it, because there was no way she was going to just trust that giant stuffed pink dog in her living room wasn't at least somewhat bugged or tapped or something otherwise messed up.
Which was going to be a little awkward if it turned out to be, like, Miguel or Anna or something, because Jesus Christ, Fandom, she'd just gotten back, and already, you want her dealing with shit like that??
[[ open post is open, especially for certain tightpantsed people who live there! ]]

OOC :: Halloween Heist 2021 Master Post!
Oct. 25th, 2021 04:45 amLast Updated: Friday, October 29th, 5:30 am CST Updates are denoted with asterisks (***)
This is the OOC Master Post for Rosa's BABSG Halloween Heist. Here you will find the list of various traps/situations you'll find in which offices, as well as the location of the hatchets and whatever else might be useful, to be updated as thing go along. For example, traps that will go off only once will be crossed out once they're activated; any siutational changes will be updated accordingly. There will also be OCD with regards to the location/possession of the hatchets and any other things like that.
PLEASE NOTE: For the purposes of the game, the offices are moddable, but coordinating with other students and/or teachers is highly encouraged, just because that can make it more fun. And also note that any time you do intereact with one of the offices, any teacher may be around to react or try to catch you. They all know what's going on. The idea is to have it wind up some weird wacky caper filled with ridiculous nonsense, in the grand tradition of any B99 Halloween Heist. Behind the cut is what we've got to offer:
( BABSG HH 20211 )
Please note that if you do not see an office listed above, it is off-limits and not included in the Heist! Please communicate with each other and check into the post often for updates, but, most importantly, have fun! This will officially run starting at "Midnight FT" and go until next week's class, so Tuesday October 26 to Monday November 1, and whoever has the hatchet at that time wins!
Let me know if there's questions, please drop links to your shenanigans in the comments for all to enjoy, and let's see who is the Ultimate Human/Genius this year!

It was that weekend where that floor of the school that contained all the teachers' offices actually got some (or any, really, for most weeks) modicum of use and traffic, and on that floor of the school that contained all the teachers' offices was a particular block of offices occupied by a small army of very diverse instructors that all shared on thing in common.
And, no, we weren't talking about them all being stuck holding office hours for potential parental (or otherwise) visitors to take advantage of, but there was that, too.
[[ look, I have eight teachers. If that doesn't call for PW OCD, I don't know what does. Please hold for said OCD! OCD is up! SP warning (unforuntately!) in effect! But here is where you'll find all my teachers san Summer for their office hours! ]]

The case that Rosa had picked up a few weeks ago had been demanding a lot of her time, especially since it had her traveling to some pretty interesting places. It was actually exactly the kind of case she was hoping she'd get a chance to sink her teeth into, nice and vague requiring a lot of groundwork and, better yet, actually in her universe, which meant leaning in on a little help from the Nine-Nine. There was still a little bit more work to do before she could really start putting things together, but she figured she'd already missed out on two Tuesday nights at Caritas, it probably wouldn't hurt to pop in tonight just to touch base before getting back to work.
Only, apparently, there was one glaring issue with that plan.
"Well," said Rosa, succinctly, when a third effort to get in touch with Portalocity failed, "shit."
There were worse places to be than her old precinct haunt on a Tuesday night, she supposed, but portals not working on the week after the end of a semester meant there was probably something weird and stupid going on. Which meant she wasn't even sure if the three people she'd care enough about to send a message to (Portals are down. Everything okay over there?) would even get the texts, but she sent them off, anyway, and then went to meet everyone at Shaw's like the good old times or some bullshit like that.
She tried not to worry, too, but she knew everyone she'd be worried about would be fine, so she was just going to take a moment to toast to her good timing because whatever it was that was going on and blocking portals? Was probably incredibly dumb and she was better off not having to deal with it in the first place.
[[ mostly establishy, to cover what Rosa's been up to lately that I've been waaaaay too lazy/stressed out to write, but also definitely open for calls and texts (assuming they can get through even if portals can't? IDK.) if you'd like! ]]

Indistinct chatter droned over the static-filled PA system, usually buried under the clatter and clang of incoming trains, but that that afternoon. It was much quieter in the station that day, as a small capuchan monkey in discheveled suit sat, distressed, on one side of a table in an otherwise empty room. Waiting for his fate to decend upon him in the form of a willowy, stern-faced detective in a leather jacket.
( Who's going to believe an orangutan? )
And Rosa just stood there, in the shadows of the station platform, shaking her head.
"Jesus," she murmured, "and I thought Fandom was weird..."
[[ Entire dialogue and scene (with one minor edit) taken from "What Did Jack Do?", a Netflix short written and directed by David Lynch from 2017 that I saw a few weeks ago and have been absolutely obsessed with since and so I decided to put Rosa on the deepest cut little side adventure ever for my own weird amusement.
Like you do.
DOn't mind me.
Can definitely be open, though, if anyone wants to get in touch! ]]

What a glorious morning it was! And Rosa was in a beaming, glowing, gorgeous mood to go with it. There was a spring in her step, a smile on her face, and a song in her heart, because how could there not be? Who needed to long for happily ever after when happily ever after was clearly right there in front of you?
And that song in her heart translated into the song filling the kitchen, as Rosa, dressed in a pink as cheerful and bright as she was, set to not only making breakfast, but also singing the Breakfast Song, which everyone knew made everything taste better, a song that narrated exactly what she was doing it as she did it and how wonderful it all was.
And her dearest friend Anna, who had been her faithful companion since she was just a small girl, was joining in on the song as well.
To Rosa, there was no voice sweeter than her dear Anna's, and that their voices were in perfect harmony. But to probably anyone else with ears, it was probably just howling noise.

There is an additional level this year in that the Superheroing Class will be working as agents to stop the Badass Bitches, thwart their nefarious heist, or perhaps join forces with them ina turn against justice. Who knows? Definitely not the Badass Bitches! (Well, at least not most of them, ahem!)
Anyway, behind the cut is what we've got to offer; any office NOT listed is considered OFF LIMITS and should not be modded without permission. Once the hatchet has left the offices, please do not mod rooms or businesses without permission, either!
( Bad Ass Bitches Halloween Heist )
Whatever. Just go have fun with it. This runs from Tuesday October 27th to Saturday October 31st. Whoever has the hatchet at that point is the winner, and such will be discussed in class on Tuesday.
Have fun, work with each other, work against each other, pass that thing around like a hot potato, and see what madness we can come up with in less than a week! And, of course, feel free to poke at me with questions, concerns, gifs, coffee, etc, etc, etc.

The whole thing that Rosa had to take care of in Baltimore ended up taking way longer than it should have (thank a lot, Perk, and your lack of a very specific muffin!), as in a whole overnight thing, so she shot Tightpants a text letting him know and warning him that she'd be a little pissed if he didn't leave he leftovers. Brainstormed a quick idea with Blackstone for covering her class because she didn't think she'd get back in time for it, and then got to work, though most of it was trying to talk herself down from murder and reminding herself that she was working with these Baltimore assholes, don't shoot the people you were working with, Diaz...
But when she did finally get home later the next morning, dropping a few things off downstairs in the office before heading up to the apartment, leftovers and shooting Baltimore assholes were the least of her concerns.
Because the kitchen was an absolute mess. Her first immediate thought was that Summer fucking Smith was on another baffling bout of B&E, but the thought was fleeting, that didn't add up. Destroying things wasn't exactly her M.O.; she apparently just liked rifling through people's shit and being weird, and there was webbing, there were scratches in the floor, something had happened here, it had involved her boyfriend, and it did not look good.
"Miguel?" she called out, so you knew it was serious if she was using his actual name, moving into the apartment to check the bedroom. "Anna?"
At least the dog was there, in the bedroom, oblivious and dumb and gnawing on an old boot. "Some guard dog you are," she murmured, but she was too worried to be upset, moving back to the kitchen to get a better look at the mess, look for clues, wondering what to do now and that she should probably get a chain of information going before this blew up bigger.
"Goddammit."
She was seriously going to punch this island right in the face this time, swear to god...
[[ expecting one, but open after that! ]]

Office #26; Saturday [09/26].
Sep. 26th, 2020 06:12 amRosa had briefly thought about not bothering to go into her office, which would have made it even more difficult for anyone who tried to send people to see her and/or anyone who actually wanted to see her, but she was actually kind of growing attached to the weird thing that she and Blackstone sometimes did through the wall seperating their offices for, like, moral support and stuff, and she did actually have some class-related work to pick at, and being in the offices while planning something that involved the offices just made it work better, studying maps and getting ideas and figuring out how to go about this year's Halloween Heist, which was obviously very important and actually worth the potential of having to deal with, ugh, friends and family this weekend.
Definitely was not her favorite, but at least she was getting work done. And apparently getting some sake in a bit, too.
[[ and fin! open door, open post, i really need to do office hours more often and not just for PW -_- ]]

Yesterday, Rosa had oh-so-handwavily had people from some sign company come and do the window for the new office, and she figured she might as well swing by the place and see how everything was looking now that she had more than enough time for it and should probably get around to finalizing all the reconstruction and finally get moved in and the business started.
It didn't take her more than three second after arrival before she was on the phone.
"Yeah, there was a reason I explicitely said to do the whole word, no abbreviations."
And then turned around to glare at that nice smoked glass window with the crisp, clean, noir-style lettering on it that proclaimed the new business to anyone passing by:
DIAZ & ASS.
Private Investigators
Considering who was moving in with her, the sign wasn't necessarily wrong, but...
[[ you know who you are and I love you. Also, it's open ]]

MHA #3; Thursday Evening [07/09].
Jul. 9th, 2020 08:04 amSo, the heat frying out all the electricty on the island put a slight hitch in Rosa's plan to just ride out this laundry strike thing by being her usual anti-social self and hiding out in her apartment until it was over. Which was still definitely a plan, but one made slightly more annoying by the lack of air conditioning and other creature comforts. She was maybe about a step away from just dealiing with the fact that her Fandom Gladiator singlet (a little more approriate than the last remaining set of underwear she was wearing now) would just have to do as clothes until she and her bike could get off this island for a while, but there was probably one thing she should take care of before she did that.
come over and help me eat all this ice cream in my freezer before it all melts.
Well, two things, but that text would serve as a catalyst for the second, although Rosa was wondering if she should put it off until things were a little more normal around here again. But she also knew that if she put it off now, she'll probably put it off forever, so she just needed to get it done, get it over with, and move on.
So she sent the text, turned her phone off to help save the battery in case this blackout went on for a while, and went to go light some candles. While actually feeling somewhat grateful that at least the heatwave meant there'd be no way to tell that some of that sweat wasn't from the heat, but instead from the stupid nervous feeling in the pit of her dumb stomach.
At least the windows were all already open, though, in case she needed to make a get-away.
[[ for he of the tightest of pants and the slowest of plays ]]

77 Godiva Street; Tuesday [07/07].
Jul. 7th, 2020 09:46 amRosa probably could have picked a better day to do this, but it was the middle of summer, it was probably going to be annoying hot for at least a week, if they were lucky, so she was just going to suck it up because she was getting a little restless about the next step in her whole....ugh, reinvention, or whatever that guru she'd encountered while hiking through Tibet had called it, and that meant finally getting to work on her new...offices, she supposed. And, as she glanced up toward the second floor of the building she was putting her name on, apartment.
"What a dump," she muttered, to no one in particular, as she moved forward to unlock the door and go have a look around so she can start making her remodeling plans and get a really good idea on what needed to be done.
It wasn't a dump; it was fine. She was just being dramatic. Shocker, right? Alert the presses. But open real estate was pretty tight on this island, so it was either this place, the place next door or the place down the street, and while the place down the street had a much better view of the ocean and the mainland, she just felt this place was the right one. If she believed in that sort of crap, she'd think it was tied into 7 being a lucky number or something, but that was obviously stupid.
So she was just going to be picking around and scoping things out and making plans and blueprints in a tiny notebook in the sweltering heat, and then narrowing her eyes slightly when she realized the jacket she'd laid down earlier had definitely disappeared, and maybe that was a sign that she should scope out the other places a little, too, just in case there was something wrong with this one.
[[ mostly establishing, but can definitely be open! ]]

Office #26; Friday Afternoon [11/01].
Nov. 1st, 2019 10:38 amSo Rosa had sent Fandom's newest reigning Bad Ass Bitch on an extra assignment, then went home after class for a power nap because she had literally not slept since Wednesday. Then it was back to her rarely used office, just in case Beniko had anything to report.
Or anyone else for that matter.
Either way, she was there, and she was finally doing what she was always thinking about doing, which was actually utilizing this otherwise unused space for a personal yoga studio. It was nice, being able to go from Downward-Facing to Upward-Facing Dog without an actual dog trying to wedge herself into the mix because she thought it was Jump On Bendy Mom And Get In Her Way Every Two Seconds Playtime.
She needed to do this more often.
[[ door closed, post open, with a very much 'work is gonna eat me, I can just feel it' warning! ]]

Please remember to check back on this post often! Changes will be frequent and happen as events progress in game, so it's a good way to know what's going on and what may have changed since last time!
( Bad Ass Bitches Halloween Heist )
Whatever. Just go have fun with it. This runs from Friday October 25 to Friday, November 1 in Rosa's class, unless someone swiped the real thing sooner than that, after which it's alllll in the students' court at that point. Please keep updated on the post and don't hesitate to poke at me with changes in case I miss them! Class will be posted momentarily.

MHA #3; Wednesday Morning [10/09].
Oct. 9th, 2019 06:17 am"God dammit."
Look, obviously, Rosa figured this was going to happen eventually, especially after talking with Kitty about it last night, but she was sort of hoping she'd have time to, you know, prepare for it a little more. Waking up as a dude already sort of put a wrench in her plans to go and pick up some clothes that would likely fit a dude version of herself first thing that morning. She did take a moment to consider if anything she did have would be workable, and only wound up realizing the irony of her nickname for Miguel when she, indeed, seemed to possess nothing but tight pants.
And tight dresses, but that was a whole other thing.
Thankfully, there were other helpful avenues she could take. Well, one, mainly, as she picked up her phone and sent off a quick text:
Guess who needs clothes. And you owe me.
Yeah, she probably could have just asked nicely, but then he's probably just think she'd not only switched bodies, but personalities as well.
[[mostly for the recipient of said text, but, hey, sure, it can be open, too, with a very strong possibility of SP until later!]]
[[ also, I totally had the right apartment building the whole time *waggles fingers* ]]

Office #26; Saturday [09/28].
Sep. 28th, 2019 08:53 amUnlike some people, Rosa didn't have a handy box of apparently self-replicating contraptions to work on to stave off the boredom of keeping office hours this weekend, but she did have an impressive arsenal of guns that could probably use some cleaning, so that's what was spread out on her desk as she waited for guests that would hopefully just not show up at all. But, if anyone did, at least the guns would get a chance to say a little something about her before she even had to open her mouth.
Of course, she also knew that her office shared a wall with Blackstone's, and that Blackstone was also doing the office hour trudge that morning, she occasionally took a break to throw a small rubber handball against the wall in code. She'd then wait and, not long after, a series of thumps would respond back, Rosa would snort, and then go back to work.
What? Shut up.
[[ and this one's open door, open post, too! And yes, I put them in adjacent offices for exactly this reason ]]

Well. It was Tuesday and Rosa was at a bar; it just wasn't Caritas and it wasn't anywhere near Fandom Island. Because it hadn't taken Rosa very long after yelling at talking to Hot Leaf Water on Saturday to realize that the best way to handle that situation was...to get as far from it as posssible. So she packed up up her bike and her dog and headed out, not really knowing where they'd even up, but that would be what made it more interesting and, even more important, more distracting.
And since her whole tour as Sonia Ramirez informed her to the fact that you couldn't exactly trust on these things being cleared up by Mondays, she figured she'd just make it a thing until she needed to be back for her class on Friday. A much time away from that place she could get just then, the better.
If anything, it gave her the chance to give Sonia Ramirez a little bit of a spin, too. And one thing so far had become crystal clear: Sonia Ramirez was going to sweep the whole bar with these bets they had going on they were playing on their TVs.
[[ moooostly establishy! but open for calls and texts ]]
